A week of ranunculus

A week of ranunculus

Ranunculus is the kind of flower that doesn't ask for attention. The petals layer like onion paper, and the colour deepens a quarter-turn at every layer. Up close, you see why florists hoard them.

This week's grower is half an hour out of Healesville. They lift the stems on Thursday morning, hold them cold overnight, and we collect on Friday. Whatever doesn't go out on Sunday is composted on Monday — that's the trade-off of a fresh-weekly model and we won't pretend otherwise.

We've built three arrangements around them. Bedside is just ranunculus, ten stems, in a low ceramic — quiet enough to read past. Sage table pairs them with chamomile and a soft eucalyptus, sized for a small dining table. For someone else is the larger arrangement, finished with a hand-tied paper wrap if it's heading out as a gift.

The drop opens this Sunday at 7am. Three arrangements, sized small / medium / gift. Order before 1pm for same-week delivery.
